Tea Witch Hobby, The Goddess Dolls and Witch Dolls I Make

About three years ago I took an amazing class with an amazing instructor Melany O'Leary, here on the North Shore of Vancouver. We did a guided meditation and then she showed us how to make our dolls. I was hooked. I love making these dolls for myself, for friends and for my monthly swaps I do through some Facebook groups I belong to.  I hope you will indulge me with a look at some of the dolls I make.

Since that class I have been foraging for drift wood, collecting vintage handkerchiefs and napkins, bits and bobs that call to me, found shells and purchased shells along with yarn and fibers that I make into these dolls that I just love. The faces I use a mold, or do by hand. These are all a mold.

It may sound weird but each of these dolls call to me to be made, it is almost a full meditation when I work and I can tune all the things around me out and just create.

I made this mother and daughter set for a swap a few months ago and it was hard to part with! I made them so they could nest and also be stand alone dolls.

The above doll is the most recent doll I have made, she is a sun Goddess and I made her on Litha and gave it to my meditation class instructor on the Solstice.

I also make Witch Crone Dolls and they are some of my most favorite to make .I feel very free when I make these dolls.

For myself I like to make the dolls to match the turning of the wheel and times of the year.
Each time I make one my heart soars and I cannot wait for those who they are intended for receive them.

I would love to know what you think of my Goddess and Witch dolls. Please feel free to leave me a comment below.

Blessed be.
