Lammas Blessings And A New To Me Tradition...


 I am rather excited to share this particular journey with you. On July 31, I attempted a long desired craft of making Corn Dolls.


Every year I say I am going to attempt it and for some reason I put it off until Sunday night. I see the tutorials like this amazing one shared on Facebook with me that walked me through the steps.


I am absolutely thrilled with how these directions were so easy to follow.




Last year a friend last year in one of my monthly witch swaps made and sent me one and hers is farm more professionally done. I did make 7, and found I got better at it as I went along.


I used what I had on hand, with yarns and bits of fibers in my craft stash.

This was so much fun and easy to do!

 I have been so excited to go through the book A Tea Witch's Grimoire by S. M. Harlow, this has been one of the best books I have ever found for tea blending and for blending tisanes.  Sunday July 31st I set out to make myself the Lammas Tea recipe that is on pare 33. I think that every witch, kitchen, tea or hedge witch puts his or her, on touch or intention to every recipe and while I used the ingredients listed after I shopped, foraged and found the items listed, I in the end added my own touch, which as some honey bush tisane and some vanilla as well. While the recipe listed is absolutely perfect, I over looked picking up local honey, so I added my own sweet honey flavor with some of this south African bark. I purchased this book from Amazon, I am not an affiliate, just want to share for those who are like minded, or those looking for a great gift. This is a book I look at often and I just love. The Witch Basket Bath Products I bought at Phoenix Rising in Langley BC

  Last week I went out to a wonderful store called Phoenix Rising in Langley BC.  Though it is about an hour away from where I live it is so worth the drive. I bought myself some "Cottage Witch" Witch Dust Bubble Bath and I am so glad that I did.  The line of products that the store carried was impressive and i had to hold back. I was drawn to the SEA WITCH first but the scent of the COTTAGE WITCH was the one that ultimately came home. I sprinkled the smallest amount of this in my tub and I was so impressed by the amount of bubbles and the way it made me feel. Saturday's Fun Finds, Thrifting for Teacups

  If you are on my instagram @teawitchchornicles   you already saw my post above showing some of the teacups at one of the thrift stores I visit.  I went for a salad spinner and left with many other things.... I ended up with a (not that I needed it) New to me Ulsterweaver Teapot with Dogs on it, I love it! It was $7.99  and had never even been used. As well as a trinket dish that is made by Elizabethan Fine China, the center says Victoria British Columbia, I grabbed it for $3.99 a little more than I would have normally paid but as I am currently planning on being on Vancouver Island for Canada Day, I thought it would make a nice offering bowl with my morning photos.  One of the cups and saucers I grabbed off of another shelf full of bone china was this lovely set. It has no identifying marks but I have had one treasured cup and saucer just like it but in pinks and yellows that was hand painted and from Germany.
