A Weekend Away Fun Find, A Foley Teacup

 

Over the July first weekend known as Canada day, I went to Nanaimo BC.  Nanaimo is on Vancouver Island and a 90 minute ferry ride (about $100 each way sadly) when I take my partner and my car. I would love to move to Nanaimo and it is something I have put out there in the universe I hope that things fall into place. I can attest that along with the amazing water front, Nanaimo has amazing thrift stores. 


On my last day there I found a small thrift shop that offered teacups for $4.00! I found this Foley burgundy floral set for a steal! 


This particular Foley set made the journey across the Georgia Straight without a scratch and made for a lovely Sunday morning tea photo.

  So many years ago I took this photo of my Old Country Roses tea set, which I use in times that I feel I need extra strength, I saw it in my Facebook memories a week ago and it seemed perfect even today.
