Foraging On The Full Moon For Tisanes And Bath Ingredients

The Full Buck Moon was Wednesday and I was able to do something I have wanted to do for a while now and that is forage for some flowers, herbs and even weeds that I can use in my personal tea bending. My morning tea photo on Wednesday shown above, a rescued teacup I love and the only one I have that is a Spencer Stevenson black and white animal and cloud set that I found in 2016 at a thrift store. I played $11.99 for it if I remember correctly, but it was so witchy I could not leave it behind.

A friend of mine has an enchanted back yard and possessed knowledge of plants, that is second to none. she and I wandered through her yard in the hot summer sun and she kindly cut me some much desired items for my tisanes and for my apothecary.  Tarragon, Chickweed, Calendula, Ladies Mantle, Borage and red clover and fennel are now drying over my tea table.

I added mint and orange mint from my own garden when I got home. In the photo I am using the curtain rod in my living room with some Mickey Mouse themed shower curtain hooks that I found a few years back in Value Village. I paid $2.99 and the ears are perfect for hooking the bundles over.

I regret that I was too tired to wait for the Moon, by 10:30 it was still too light, at 11 pm though I tried to go to the end of my street where there was less light I still could not mange to see it. Just another reason for wanting to move to Vancouver Island. The photos I saw on Facebook from the Island page I belong to were breath taking.

Today I am grateful for the chance to explore my local areas for items to add to my tisanes and plans in place to do my own container planting of these much needed items next year.

Blessed Be and thank you for joining me.
